Lonsdale Road is a quiet tree-lined street running parallel to Westbourne Grove between Portobello Road and Ledbury Road. It is about 5 or 6 minutes walk to Notting Hill Gate station and about the same to Westbourne Park and Ladbroke Grove stations. Around the corner in Westbourne Grove are buses to the West End and nearby in Kensington Park Road to Kensington High Street, Knightsbridge and Victoria (see transport page). Lonsdale Road was built in the 1850's and has no fast-moving or heavy traffic on it.
